Ireland’s Celtic Cup campaign ended in disappointment, but Catholic Institute and Fermoy both reached domestic finals to ensure it wasn’t all bad news on a weekend where C of I held Quins to a draw that does neither side’s title challenge any favours

A rampant first-quarter performance helped Glenanne notch a 4-1 win over C of I at Garryduff in the IHL, but Quins came from two down to oust Monkstown 3-2, their first win in the competition. Limerick are through to the final of the Irish Challenge, but controversy reigned on the other side of the draw, in bizarre circumstances.
